The Lowcountry runs on rentals: vacation houses on Folly Beach and Isle of Palms, apartments downtown and in Mount Pleasant, student housing around the College of Charleston and the Citadel. When the furniture gets replaced or a tenant leaves a unit full, the haul-away has to happen between checkout and check-in. We schedule to the hour and leave the unit ready.
Property managers book us by the building for August turnover and by the house for the off-season refits.
What the job involves
- Photo or a list from the manager; firm quote back
- Scheduled between guests or tenants, key or lockbox code
- Old furniture, mattresses and leftovers loaded and hauled
- Unit swept; photos sent to the manager
Turnover hauling on the beaches and downtown
Folly Beach, Isle of Palms, Sullivan's Island and the peninsula have thousands of short-term rentals, and every one of them replaces sofas and mattresses on a schedule. Managers keep our number for the week the old set goes out.
